Hillside Townes and local contractors are preparing to launch the next phase of the Maxfield Training Center redevelopment with the planned reconstruction of Thomas Street, east of Warner Street and School Street. Work is scheduled to tentatively begin the week of May 19, 2025, pending weather.

The project will include the replacement of the existing water main, improvements to storm water infrastructure, the addition of new sidewalks, and the installation of new asphalt pavement. These upgrades are designed to support the Hillside Townes development and enhance safety, accessibility, and service reliability for area residents. It will also serve as a path to the Shiawassee Park hill entrance.

The project timeline remains tentative and is subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. Updates will be provided as the start date approaches.
