City of Farmington seeks members for its Zoning Board of Appeals

The City of Farmington is looking to fill two vacancies on its Zoning Board of Appeals – one regular member and one alternate.  Candidates are required to be Farmington residents. Both terms are through June 30, 2028.

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Farmington City Hall. The board mostly hears variance requests dealing with dimensional aspects of the Zoning Ordinance: setbacks, building height requirements, etc. The Zoning Board of Appeals is also responsible for hearing sign and fence variance requests and reviews appeals the Building Official may bring forth regarding enforcement of the Farmington Zoning Ordinance where it is alleged by the appellant that there was an error or misinterpretation.

Those interested should fill out the application (link below) and return it to Farmington City Hall: 23600 Liberty Street; or email it to mandrade@farmgov.com by July 6, 2026.
