Beautification Committee Summer Update

Thank you to those that came out and participated in our Beautification Committee on Monday, June 8th, 2026! It was great to have conversations with our residents.
As we think about next years' priorities, we have several things we will be working on including, new garden education classes, plant swap(s), beautification awards, community garden updates, and more!!
This year, we focused a lot on the community garden making it easier and more sightful for our residents. We have had more interest than ever on reserving plots. As we continue to refine our process for the community garden plots, I wanted to share updated guidelines to be mindful of starting next year. Plots will be a flat $20.00 fee for the season and can be purchased through the city. If you are interested in reserving a plot for next year, please contact beautification@farm.gov.
Welcome to the Chesley Street Community Garden
  1. The garden season runs from May - October
  2. Plots are assigned every year based on availability. If you are a returning gardener, we cannot guarantee the same plot.
  3. It's the responsibility of the gardener to till, week, and care for their space.
  4. The Community Garden is trying to collect tools to use. If you use any of the donated tools, please put them back for the next person.
  5. There are seeds available in the community shed.
  6. Please be mindful of our neighbors and respect the space.
Lastly, as we take a month off before our Fall season kicks off, I want to extend a HUGE thank you to the Farmington residents, Beautification Committee, and Melissa Andrade for the continued support and hard work making this city beautiful!
Sincerely,
The City of Farmington Beautification Committee
