Notice from DTE: Working to improve your electric reliability
📢 Notice from DTE Energy
DTE Energy will have crews working in Farmington neighborhoods over the next few months as part of their effort to build a stronger, smarter electric grid. This work is not a City of Farmington project — it’s part of DTE’s ongoing commitment to reduce outages by 30% and cut outage times in half by 2029.
Here’s what residents can expect:
⚡ Crews may need access to electric equipment on or around properties (no home entry required).
👷 DTE employees will wear high-visibility vests and carry ID badges.
🚧 Some temporary lane or road closures may occur.
🔌 Short, planned power outages may be necessary — DTE will notify customers in advance.
🛠️ Property will be restored as needed, with final repairs completed when weather allows.
