Downtown Development Authority seeks new board member

The City of Farmington is looking to fill a vacancy on its Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of Directors. This vacancy is for a downtown business representative.
The DDA meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. Its purpose is to support business development, to encourage historic preservation, to authorize the creation and implementation of development plans, to promote economic growth, and to utilize tax increment financing within the district as authorized by statute. On a more fun note, the DDA organizes the Harvest Moon Celebration, Rhythms in Riley Park, Lunch Beats, and Ladies Night Out, all while helping to maintain and grow the downtown businesses; as well as execute a public art program.
DDA Board members serve a 4-year term. The vacant term expires on Feb. 28, 2024.
