DTE to Host Community Open Houses Sept. 28 & 29
Residents in Farmington Hills and Farmington are invited to attend two different Community Open Houses hosted by DTE to learn about planned infrastructure improvements and tree trimming efforts in the area. DTE has made a commitment to improve electrical reliability after the community experienced widespread outages following back-to-back severe storms this summer.
The Open Houses will be held on Tuesday, September 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Park North Pavilion in Farmington Hills, and on Wednesday, September 29 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sundquist Pavilion in Riley Park located in downtown Farmington.
Officials from DTE will discuss plans to address problems with specific circuits that have experienced repeated electrical issues and frequent outages. Prior to the Open Houses, DTE will directly contact residents within the areas serviced by these circuits, which supply power to 1,000 – 3,000 customers each.
All residents are welcome to attend the Open Houses, but DTE staff will focus on those customers who live in the main problem areas. Residents not impacted by these designated circuits may also share their concerns and DTE will follow up after the Open Houses.
