Farmington Public Safety Department Looking For Trick or Treaters on Halloween

Release date: 10/27/2011

Pic-PR-111027.jpgTwo members of the Farmington Public Safety Department will be out on Halloween, patrolling Farmington neighborhoods to find trick or treaters. They will be handing out bags with Halloween surprises.  The Farmington Public Safety Department started this program eighteen years ago and believes that it is a good way for children to have a positive first impression of police officers.

Pictured are daughters of Commander Ted Warthman; twins Hope and Hayden (4), and Halle (7). They have their bags filled with potato chips, a coloring book and other surprises. Busch’s Fresh Food Market, located on Drake Road in Farmington Hills, and Better Made donated bags of potato chips for the Halloween bags.  Halloween bags will be handed out beginning 6:00 p.m. on Halloween night. Look for them in the Farmington “Crime Prevention” SUV.

In addition to this program, the public safety department will have extra patrol in Farmington neighborhoods during the Halloween season
